What are allergy traffic

Concentration of pollen in the air from 21 plant types is monitored from the beginning of February until the first days of November including the tree flowering season (February to May), grass/weed (May to July) and weed (July to November). An allergy stoplight is a way of daily reporting about the quantity of pollen grains in the air above a certain area which usually appears in the newspaper or in the media.

Ambrosia

Ambrosia (lat. Ambrosia artemisiifolia) is a genus of invasive weeds, one of the most common and most dangerous allergic plants in the world. It was brought from America by transoceanic ships at the end of 19th century, and since then it has been spreading steadily and unstoppably.Ambrosia is a hardy annual plant, from 20 cm up to 2 m high. It sprouts from the middle of April and flourishes until late summer and fall. Previous researches have shown that ambrosia is particularly dangerous in the flowering period, i.e. from July until September.

“Support to Allergen-Free Environment – SAFE“  project has been listen among the eight examples of best practice, out of 200 projects in total, in the Final Evaluation Report, the final output of the On-going Programme Evaluation of the Hungary – Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013.

SAFE project among the eight best projects of cross-border and transnational cooperation

In the framework of the Fifth National Conference on Cross-border Cooperation, which was held in Belgrade on 21 October 2016 and organized by the Office for European Integration of Serbian Government, Jadranka Joksimović, Minister of European Integration, handed the awards for the eight best projects of cross-border and transnational cooperation. Among the awarded projects was the "Support to Allergen-Free Environment - SAFE" project, which was implemented under the Hungary-Serbia IPA CBC Programme 2007-2013, in the cooperation of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, City of Sombor and Local Self-government Baja.

The projects SAFE and eWAM examples of good project cooperation in the 2007-2013 programming period

In the publication "Examples of Good Cooperation" by the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Hungary - Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme, the projects "SAFE" and "eWAM" have been listed among the 18 projects as examples of good project cooperation in the programming period from 2007 to 2013.
